Canton Academy students recently visited the Nissan Plant.

“The Nissan trip turned out to be a pretty good experience,” said Dj Taylor.

Taylor was one of the thirty that attended the visit.

Taylor said that the trip was worth going on “because it was very informational.”

When Taylor turns 18 he would like to go work at the Nissan plant and be a welder.

Taylor says that he learned that Nissan will soon be bring the Altima back and start making them again.

Nissan has 1.7 million square foot of the building and they are still growing.

Taylor said “there wasn’t really anything too secret there but there was one room that was off limits, which was the paint room. The workers don’t won’t anyone to go in there because if you even breath too hard in this room the paint and chemicals can start to have a reaction and this will mess up the paint going on the cars.”

Taylor said there was “this big 4,384 horsepower steel press that the workers would stick very big pieces of metal that would crush and flatten them and then they would turn the big pieces of metal into a car.”

There was a self moving robot called an AI (artificial intelligence).

This robot picked all of metal with big magnets and took the metal to the place you programmed it to go.
